Thayne and his staff took the time to help us choose the best frames or offered other options for presenting the pieces. We also appreciated that they put labels on the back with the artist's information where the artist's name would have been obscured by the frame backing. Cute little shop that features local artists. It is a great place to buy a gift, or have some custom framing done. They updated the frame on a piece of artwork I had, and now it feels fresh and looks great again. I have purchased handmade gifts there including local prints and ceramics. They also have a nice card assortment, some lovely wood pieces (bowls and cutting boards), handmade jewelery, and locally made chocolate bars. They are in north PB, and out of the usual tourist zone, so it is supported by locals and visitors alike. Making a purchase there means you are supporting a local artist, and not some factory over seas. Nothing there is mass produced, so you should visit often and you'll see that every time you visit you see something different. Look for the ceramic mushrooms, which are perfect to stick in a plant but also durable enough to put outside in a garden. There is a blue usps mailbox across the street, and sometimes they even have stamps at the gallery, so you can send a card off right away before you even return to your car.
